Hey there! I'm Joshua Morn, and I hail from the breathtakingly beautiful town of Bishop, California – a place that will forever hold a special spot in my heart. Nestled in the picturesque Owens Valley, Bishop is more than just my hometown; it's where my love for adventure, technology, and community first took root.
In 2022, I founded Owens Valley Computer Repair, a veteran-owned and operated business dedicated to providing top-notch tech solutions to the vibrant communities of Inyo and Mono counties. From troubleshooting software glitches to building custom rigs, we've got you covered.
But beyond my entrepreneurial pursuits, my life has been shaped by two passions: my time serving in the United States Navy and my insatiable love for snowboarding. These experiences have not only defined who I am but have also imbued me with a sense of purpose, adventure, and resilience that I carry with me in all that I do.

If there's one thing that rivals my love for technology, it's my passion for snowboarding. My journey on the slopes began in the picturesque mountains of Mammoth, California, where I discovered a thrill unlike any other gliding down those pristine slopes.
As I honed my skills and ventured further into the world of snowboarding, my thirst for adventure led me to embark on epic road trips in search of the ultimate powder. One unforgettable journey took me from the rugged terrain of Bishop, California, all the way to the majestic peaks of Valdez, Alaska. There, I experienced the unparalleled exhilaration of heli-skiing, carving through some of the deepest and most breathtaking powder imaginable. It was a surreal experience, navigating vast expanses of untouched snow and pushing the boundaries of what I thought was possible on a snowboard.
But my quest for the perfect ride didn't end there. I've also journeyed across the globe to Myoko, Japan, renowned for its legendary snowfall and pristine backcountry terrain. There, amidst towering peaks and tranquil forests blanketed in snow, I experienced the pure bliss of carving through waist-deep powder, feeling utterly alive with every turn.
Despite my travels to far-flung destinations, Mammoth Mountain holds a special place in my heart. Nestled in the Eastern Sierra Nevada range, it's not just a mountain – it's home. I've spent countless days exploring its vast terrain, from challenging steeps to serene glades, and I never cease to be amazed by its beauty and endless possibilities.
But my passion for snowboarding knows no bounds, extending even to the southern hemisphere. I've ventured to the snow-capped peaks of Chile, where I traded winter for summer and experienced the thrill of riding under the South American sun. It was a surreal juxtaposition, shredding through sun-drenched slopes while surrounded by towering Andean peaks and breathtaking vistas.
Whether I'm carving through powder in Alaska, Japan, Chile, or my beloved Mammoth Mountain, snowboarding is more than just a sport – it's a way of life. It's about embracing the thrill of the ride, pushing my limits, and connecting with the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world. And as I continue to chase that elusive perfect run, I'm grateful for every moment spent carving my own path through the snow-covered mountains that have become my playground.
My journey started long before I ever donned a uniform. As a young kid, I was captivated by the world of computers. It all began with late nights spent engrossed in video games, where I discovered a passion for technology that would shape my future.
I'll never forget the thrill of those early gaming sessions, where I was transported to fantastical realms and epic adventures. But my fascination didn't end with gameplay – I was just as intrigued by what happened behind the scenes. When my computer inevitably encountered glitches or slowdowns, I became determined to unravel the mysteries of its inner workings.
Armed with curiosity and a DIY attitude, I delved into the world of computer repair. From troubleshooting software issues to tinkering with hardware components, I embraced every challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow. Through trial and error, I developed a knack for problem-solving and a deep understanding of technology that would serve me well in the years to come.
Fast forward to a pivotal moment in my life: the aftermath of 9/11. Fueled by a sense of duty and a desire to make a difference, I made the decision to enlist in the United States Navy. Little did I know, my passion for computers would play a significant role in my naval career.
Upon entering the Navy, I was drawn to the nuclear power program, enticed by the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a high-stakes environment. My journey took me to Goose Creek, South Carolina, where I immersed myself in the demanding curriculum. But even amidst the rigors of training, my love for computers never waned. Whether I was studying reactor theory or mastering complex systems, I approached each challenge with the same tenacity and curiosity that had driven me as a young gamer and aspiring computer whiz.
After graduating with honors, I continued to leverage my technical skills in roles ranging from nuclear prototype work in Ballston Spa, New York, to serving as a reactor operator aboard the CVN-76 Ronald Reagan in San Diego. As I navigated the intricacies of nuclear engineering and naval operations, I found that my background in computers gave me a unique perspective and a valuable edge.
Today, as I transition into civilian life, my passion for technology remains as strong as ever. Whether I'm troubleshooting software issues, building custom PCs, or exploring the latest advancements in AI and cybersecurity, I continue to embrace the ever-evolving world of computers with the same sense of wonder and enthusiasm that ignited my journey so many years ago.
